I had not heard of Alexandra Afganisjew before, but her 1969 Vogue editorial shots by James Moore really capture that late-sixties tension between polished elegance and playful experimentation. The Berocco knit jacketed-dress look is a personal favorite — it is striking how much she conveyed with such poise given that so little is known about her career.
