Although she initially had “no cheesecake” poses written into her first film contract, Gene Tierney did quite a few during her career. These photographs of Gene in her leopard skin bathing costume with a real life leopard on a leash is one of the more risqué poses of her carter.
It was later realized that a contributing factor to Gene’s illness was her lack of the ability to say no. She would say yes to everything, loading her life with more than she could handle. No doubt the swimsuit pores that she eventually agreed to was another example of her sating yes to something she once felt strongly about not doing. Studio pressure to do what the other starlets were doing made Gene reconsider.
