These photographs were taken by Fredrik Daniel Bruno, an engineer and a dedicated amateur photographer born and raised in Hudiksvall in the province of Hälsingland, in the northern part of central Sweden. Bruno traveled widely and took numerous photographs of the country in the 1940s and early 1950s. He used either Kodachrome or Afgacolor diapositive film for his pictures.
