A Collection of 40 Bad Christian Album Covers With Unfortunate Titles

What were they thinking? Some of these seem a tad suggestive, sexual, rapey. Some are just odd, all are wonderful. The Afternoon Tea-Baggers, Don’t Pity Me or the fabulously titled I’ve Tasted and I Know The Lord is Good by The Rathbuns. Apparently the Lord does move in mysterious ways.

  1. Richard, I think God already used you. For spare parts.

    2. Way to punch down. Joke is on you if you think you'll accomplish more than Richard with that bitterness in your humor and your heart.

    4. Have to admit my faith is really being tested here, I mean, are we really supposed to believe he can play that organ? I don't know.....

  3. My goodness - what squirm-worthy material. Are these people all still alive?

  4. The Dan Schaeffer 3: 4 people
The Haven of Rest Quartet: 5 people

I am figuring these folks are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

    1. Remember, these are people who have problems figuring out the difference between one and three.

  5. For most of you who have little knowledge of Gospel music:

when a quartet lists 5 people, the fifth person is almost always the piano player.

    1. Perhaps they need to call themselves a quintet, then. Jesus would likely frown on such stupidity in his name. Praise be.

    2. Only four people sing in a quartet.

  6. The Afternoon Tea-Baggers...... Never thought I'd see that ever in my goddamned life.....

  7. I'm not surprised by the obliviousness. These are the same people perpetuating an inherently evil religion which has caused and continues to cause untold amounts of human suffering, ignorance, stupidity, hate, pettiness and oppression. Of course they're not the sharpest people in the shed, brainwashed cultists usually aren't.

    1. It was the style of that age... my mother wore hair like that. I think to see it now, she'd be horrified.

  10. The Afternoon T-baggers was a notorious prison gang that sang gospel songs after their t-bagging activities (or sometimes during).

  11. As a follower of Jesus I see such sweet hearts in these people. Giving their all for Him without regard to the ridicule the world will throw at them. The hair and setups are hilarious though as we look back. It makes me smile.

  12. "Jesus is All You Need"...that and a restraining order I think...

  13. 60s and 70s Country, Rock, Pop and every other kind of music album covers would be as easy to make fun of.
You just chose Christian music because why?

That was a rhetorical question. I know the answer.

    1. Its easy to make fun of any album covers? This is not music for entertainment just religious claptrap. you overlook the fact that these were hilarious even back in the day they were put out.Just looking at them tells me how awful the music must be inside. That in itself deserves a laugh. The thing that is ironic is the Jesus guy is pictured as a white, long haired, bearded, freak that these kind of folks would likely have disparaged. Is it too much for them just to open a book and see what color the people were in that area of the globe? Jeez...us

  16. Such a funny look back at the 60's and 70's - terrible hair and in these cases, likely terrible music. They all thought they were supposed to go out and spread the "good news", so they could rewrite other lives and cultures to match their own. Any other belief was evil and a road to Hell - they were brainwashed though, so they are victims too.

  21. If you look rockers of the same era, you'd laugh and gag as well. I listened to many genre's of music growing up. From the Doors to the Clash, from Black Sabbath to Run DMC, thousands of dollars in music. The indoctrination there is deep. From drug use, fornication, adultery, violence to overt Satanism. Skies the limit. No brain washing there to speak of, none at all.

  22. Uh huh huh. Like. They said tea Baggers. Uh huh huh!

  23. The thing that puzzles the heck out of me is why weren't the Tea Baggers more of a musical and cultural phenomenen than The Beatles.
