After immigrated to the United States in 1948, Swedish-born Gosta Peterson began teaching himself the art of photography. While he is currently still alive and working, his photography from the sixties especially captivates us. Most of his work from that era was done for the New York Times and focused on the fashion of the time. While clearly dated, these images have a timeless style that would not be out of place in our current glossy fashion magazines. Below are some of his work from the 1960s.

ReplyDeleteViolent crime started falling three years before Giuliani. What Giuliani did was usher in the next wave of intense racial discrimination in NYC. The police harassed every black and Hispanic male because he supported ANYTHING they did.
