Hart made her film debut opposite Elvis Presley in Loving You (1957) and went on to star in films such as King Creole (1958), Where the Boys Are (1960), and Francis of Assisi (1961). At the height of her career, at just 24 years old, she left acting to enter the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Connecticut, becoming a Benedictine nun.
