Actress Loni Anderson, who starred as shrewd radio station receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982), died on Sunday, Aug. 3, at the age of 79, two days before her 80th birthday.
According to the Associated Press report, the actress’s publicist, Cheryl J. Kagan, shared the news of her tragic demise. She revealed that Loni has left for the heavenly abode after a prolonged illness. For the unversed, Loni was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles, where she took her final breath. Her publicist was quoted as saying: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother.”
