The 1984 TV series Partners in Crime was a crime drama that brought together two of the most popular television actresses of the era, Lynda Carter and Loni Anderson. The series, which aired on NBC, was a mystery-comedy-adventure show with a premise that was a bit different from their previous hit series.
The series centered on two women, Carole Stanwyck (Lynda Carter) and Sydney Kovak (Loni Anderson), who are complete opposites but are brought together by a shared connection: their deceased ex-husband, a private detective named Raymond Caulfield. When he is murdered, they inherit his San Francisco detective agency and his heavily mortgaged mansion. They team up to solve his murder and, in the process, decide to keep the agency running.
The series was short-lived, running for only 13 episodes from September to December 1984. Despite the star power of its leads, it struggled in the ratings and was canceled.
