Gorgeous Photos of Pier Angeli in the 1950s

Pier Angeli was an Italian actress, model and singer, best known for her work in Hollywood during the 1950s. Born Anna Maria Pierangeli in 1932, she rose to fame with her debut in the 1950 film Tomorrow Is Too Late, which earned her the Nastro d’Argento for Best Actress, and subsequently won a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress for her performance in the American film Teresa (1951).

Known for her beauty and talent, Angeli was romantically linked to stars like Kirk Douglas and James Dean, and married actor Vic Damone. Her career declined in the 1960s, and she tragically died of a barbiturate overdose in 1971 at the age of 39.
