Vintage Photos of Labelle’s Style in the 1970s

Labelle was an American girl group formed in the early 1960s, originally known as “The Ordettes” and later “Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles.” They achieved mainstream success in the 1970s, particularly with their 1974 hit “Lady Marmalade,” a funky, soulful anthem.

The group was known for its powerful vocals, theatrical performances, and blending of R&B, pop, and soul. Patti LaBelle, the lead singer, went on to have a highly successful solo career after the group disbanded in 1976.

Labelle’s influence on music and fashion remains iconic. Take a look at these vintage photos to see Labelle’s style in the 1970s.
