The Mod Hair Ken Doll was released in 1973. It was the first Ken doll since 1961 to have “real” rooted hair. The doll has bendable legs and wears a brown and white checked jacket, white turtle neck dickey, a pair of light brown pants, and brown shoes.
The doll is marked “© 1968 Mattel, Inc. U.S. & For. Pat’d. Other Pats. Pending Hong Kong”. Facial hair could be stuck on the doll. It was a popular doll and there were different versions of the packaging.
