The Cuban magazine
Carteles was founded in 1919 and closed in 1960. This magazine, published in Havana, enjoyed a circulation that included the entire island of Cuba and the international market in the 1940s and 1950s.
Carteles magazine was among the favorites of the Cuban middle class because, although popular in character, it was not only a serious publication but also showed elegance and good taste in its articles and illustrations.
