German model Ina Balke in the 1960s |
Before her modeling career Balke was a photo lab assistant. She was discovered by the German fashion photographer Walter E. Lautenbacher and became his muse and long-time lover, he promoted her and made her known through his work in public. Even the major German fashion photographer Regina Relang worked a lot and often with Balke.
After the elections, “Miss Regensburg” and “Miss Amazing” Balke was in the following years, the most famous and most photographed German model of its time. She worked successfully in Paris and New York and gained world fame.
After separating from Lautenbacher, Balke became the lover of the French photographer Jeanloup Sieff. Take a look at these fabulous photos to see portraits of a young Ina Balke as a model in the 1960s.
