The Mercedes-Benz 250S was a variant of the W108/W109 S-Class that was introduced for the 1966 model year. The 250 S was built on the shorter W108 chassis, and was powered by Mercedes’ M108 engine. This carbureted 2.5L inline six powerplant generated 128hp which was sent to the rear wheels via a standard 4 speed manual, or an optional 4 speed automatic transmission.
Production of the W108/W109 250S lasted until 1969, with a total of 74,677 examples built.
