Stunning Photos of French Model Katherine Pastrie in the 1960s

Born on November 16, 1938, Katherine Pastrie was French, but what was of greater interest is that few girls of that nationality make good photographic models. There have been only a handful - Bettina, Sophie Malgat, Regine and the incomparable Maxime de la Falaise. French girls usually come a little small for the camera, whereas there are dozens of runway models who are beautifully French.

Pastrie was as French as ‘tarte aux pommes’ or ‘crème bruleé’ The energy and interest that she showed to men she could concentrate and apply to a camera. She was, and is still, a beautiful woman, brilliant at wooing the camera lens with her darting blackcurrant eyes and devastating pout.

Any gentleman who wishes to meet Pastrie today must have lunch with her. She married a Mr. Peter Bubb-Anthony and, together with her son and a dedicated French staff, they run a first-class bistro within a pig’s trotter of Smithfeld Market in London. On the corner of Faringdon Road you will see the sign ‘Bubbs’.
