Keep glamour handy for salads — Kraft Miniature Marshmallows
Melon Boat Salad. Combine Kraft Miniature Marshmallows with fresh fruits. Fill watermelon shell. Serve with 1 c. Miracle Whip Salad Dressing blended with ¼ c. orange juice and 1 tsp. grated orange rind.
Frozen Party Salad. Gradually add 1 c. Miracle Whip Salad Dressing and 2 T. confectioners' sugar to one 8-oz. pkg. Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, softened; mix until well blended. Add 1 c. pineapple tidbits, 1 c. diced apricots, ½ c. chopped maraschino cherries and a few drops of red food coloring. Fold in 2 c. Kraft Miniature Marshmallows and 1 c. heavy cream, whipped. Pour into a 9x5-inch pan; freeze. Unmold on lettuce.
Confetti Salad. Add 1½ c. Kraft Flavored Miniature Marshmallows to slightly thickened lime gelatin (3-oz. package). Chill until firm.

Ugh. This marshmallow fare was common in the 1960s but it never appealed to me or any young person I knew.
