These pictures were taken by New Delhi-born photographer Sunil Gupta. Gupta studied under Austrian-American photographer Lisette Model in New York, and later moved to London to attend the Royal College of Art in 1982, the same year he took these photographs, which are now published in his book London ’82.
In his pictures, Gupta showed us people on the streets in the smarter part of town, around Sloane Square, King’s Road and transitory Earl’s Court. Take a look:
