The magazine was first published in May 1903 as The Red Book Illustrated by Stumer, Rosenthal and Eckstein, a firm of Chicago retail merchants. The name was changed to The Red Book Magazine shortly thereafter. In the summer of 1929, the magazine was bought by McCall Corporation, which changed the name to Redbook.
Redbook’s articles are primarily targeted towards married women. The magazine features stories about women dealing with modern hardships, aspiring for intellectual growth, and encouraging other women to work together for humanitarian causes. The magazine profiles successful women to provide inspirational testimonies and advice on life.

I have the cover listed here as June 1929 (bearing some resemblance to Amelia Earhart) without the white cutout lower right describing 2 articles but rather with headings of other stories on the red backdrop with the 25 cent price top left and dated at the top as April 1929. The one I have may be an actual cover, didn't know as it's been matted died to cut it the left edge so nothing closer to margin than the word cents is visible and to the right nothing past "will forg" and cuts bottom off below the word "An" I'd be happy to send you a pic of what's visible of it under the glass and matting
