A Must for Every Kitchen? Spaghetti Aid, ca. 1955

Imagine trying to eat Sunday dinner with this contraption. Devised by amateur American inventor Russell E. Oakes in 1955, the “Spaghetti Aid” twirled pasta, making it easier to eat.

  1. Did anybody ever tell Russell E. Oakes that it is far easier to break the precooked spaghetti into shorter lengths before tossing into the water?
