It is common to see 19th and early 20th century New York in black-and-white pictures, which is why it feels like a certain revelation to see the pre-World War II city in stunning color. Also, as noted in that post, the photo was taken in Saratoga Springs, New York not New York City.
I actually quite like the classic features of last decade. Looking at the pictures, we can still see the development of that time. However, this brings many experiences of time.
