Jaguar XJ13: One of the Most Beautiful Racing Cars of All Time

The Jaguar XJ13 was a prototype racing car developed by Jaguar Engineering Director William Heynes to compete at Le Mans in the mid 1960s.

It never raced, and only one was produced. The car has not been officially valued, but a £7 million bid for it was declined by the owners in 1996. It was more than 3 times the price of a Ferrari 250 GTO at the time.

Here below are some amazing photos of Jaguar XJ13.

  1. 4th picture does not belong, it's a different car.

    2. It's hard to say. The instrument panel is different from the other (more recent) interior pictures, but the curve of the windscreen, fender and hood (what you can see) fits the XJ13. Picture 4 would appear to be reversed if legit. It's definitely a Jag but I'm a bit inclined to agree with you - with some reserve.

  2. There are at least 3 different cars in this series of pictures. The original XJ13 was destroyed in a crash, Jaguar had it rebuilt using some of the original body moulds and that is the car with the #113 on the C pillar (so you can call that the "original"). The 4th picture (the LHD car) is a replica. The 6th picture is a replica (with a nice plate that says "built 2005" on the dash). I'm pretty sure the 5th and 7th are pictures of replicas, as are the 11th, 12th, and 13th.
