50 Glamorous Photos of Beautiful Actress Yvette Mimieux in the 1950s and ’60s

Born 1942 in Los Angeles County, California, retired American actress Yvette Mimieux had her first acting appearances were in episodes of the TV shows Yancy Derringer and One Step Beyond, and her first film feature was The Time Machine (1960), it was made for MGM, which put her under long-term contract.


After leaving MGM, Mimieux was top-billed in Three in the Attic (1969) a hit for AIP. She appeared in the critically acclaimed movie The Picasso Summer (1969), and was the female lead in an action film The Delta Factor (1970).

By the early 1970s, Mimieux was unhappy with the roles offered to female actors. “The women they write are all one dimensional,” she said. “They have no complexity in their lives. It's all surface. There's nothing to play. They're either sex objects or vanilla pudding.”

Mimieux guest-starred in a TV movie Perry Mason: The Case of the Desperate Deception (1990). Her last film was Lady Boss (1992). She retired from acting in 1992.

During her acting career, Mimieux was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards.

  1. Its most surprising to see photos of her smiling. A very beautiful lady who unfortunately was mostly wearing a stoic expression in most of her movies.
    I had a childhood crush on her though I was almost 10 years younger
