Over the course of his career, Galella has shot candid photographs of Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Mick Jagger, and Bruce Springsteen, among countless other iconic celebrities; been through two high-profile court battles with Jacqueline Kennedy, resulting in a restraining order for the photographer; and suffered a broken jaw at the hands of Marlon Brando.
Galella was the subject of the documentary film, Smash His Camera, and his photographs have appeared in publications including Time, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times.
