Cherry Blossom in Japan 120 Years Ago – Beautiful Colorized Photos of Springtime in the Land of the Rising Sun Before 1900

Spring in Japan is very popular and well-known for its beautiful cherry blossoms. The cherry blossom (or sakura in Japanese) sweeps along the length of the country each year, beginning with Okinawa in the far south in February, passes through the middle of Japan in March and April, and finishes with a late bloom in northern Hokkaido in May.
