Beautiful Marilyn Monroe in a Green Towel on Santa Monica Beach in 1962

George Barris is an American photographer best known for his photographs of Marilyn Monroe. While working together in 1962 Marilyn said to Barris, "Don't believe anything you read about me except this story."

Here's a collection of beautiful photos of Marilyn taken by George Barris in late June 1962 on Santa Monica Beach, where she's frolicking and wrapped in a green towel. These are also one of her last photo shoots, shortly before her death in August 1962.
