Rare Vintage Photographs of Tehran, Iran From Between the 1840s and 1860s

These shots are the first and rather rare photographic evidence of the Qajar world by two Italian photographers Louis Montalbone (1827–1877) and Luigi Pesce (1827–1864), whose works are still widely neglected despite representing a particular and significant episode the history of Italian photography.
