not all of them were horrible, just kind of pre-photoshop 70's photo era.

The funniest ones though are the christian ones where they look like crap but have this silly grin on their face.

ReplyDeleteHow are these the worst? At least these people are not hiding themselves behind an all-pleasing dry design, and some of them, Kevin Rowland for example, (why is he listed anyway? oh yeah, he wears women's clothes) have had a bold idea what they want to do.
Yes, it might not suit your average taste and these covers do look different than all the perfectly photoshopped as-personal-as-an-airpot-lounge record covers you can pick up from your favorite impersonal record store, but for myself, I'd like to see a world where eccentricity and being different is not something that should be instantly laughed upon.
To call these the worst just goes out to show what an average, play-it-safe, go-by-the-numbers, GAP-khaki-pants wearing, dull human being the owner of this blog must be.

ReplyDeleteYes, most "designs" on these are funny and stupid but I am disturbed that everybody's laughing above past-days people who made a record althought they didn't look like something approved by today's (or even by past's) view on being good-looking. And if you like that blind girls from 50 years ago is so funny how about posting some Stevie Wonder-jokes here?
