In 1910, the Russian Empire was on the cusp of dramatic change, and these rare color photos offer a precious and vivid glimpse into everyday life in Tver Oblast.
Captured using the early Autochrome process, the images display rich, saturated colors that bring to life the rural landscapes, historic towns, churches, markets, and people of the region.
