Born 1930 as Elsy Henrietta Maria Steinberg in Montclair, New Jersey, Elaine Stewart was an American actress and model active primarily in the 1950s and early 1960s. She began her career as a model and gained attention after winning the title of “Miss See” in See magazine in 1952. This led to a contract with Warner Bros. and her film debut in Sailor Beware (1952) alongside Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.

Stewart went on to appear in several films, including The Bad and the Beautiful (1952), Brigadoon (1954), and Night Passage (1957). She also had guest roles in television series such as Bat Masterson and Burke’s Law.

In the 1970s, Stewart co-hosted the game shows Gambit and High Rollers, both produced by her husband, television producer Merrill Heatter.
