Actor Steve McQueen, born Terrence Stephen McQueen on March 24, 1930, is still remembered as the ‘King of Cool.’ McQueen brought his antihero persona to the box office at the height of the 1960s and 1970s. He starred in popular films like The Magnificent Seven, Bullitt, The Sand Pebbles, The Cincinnati Kid, and so much more. The ‘King of Cool,’ not only an actor but an avid race car and motorcycle enthusiast, became the highest-paid movie star in 1974. On Nov. 7, 1980, McQueen died of heart failure in Mexico after undergoing surgery for cancer.
