Rare Photos of Actors Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart Enjoying a Day of Sailing in 1946

Bron 1913, Floyd McCarty spanned more than four decades (1929 - 1975) as a professional photographer. Although only attended school through the 7th grade, he worked for various newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Examiner, The Daily News and The Chicago Sun.

McCarty additionally worked for several film studios, including Warner Brothers, Columbia and Universal. His most prominent photographic subjects included James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman, Debbie Reynolds, Natalie Wood, Henry Fonda, John Wayne and Doris Day. He was a still photographer for many films as well, including East of Eden (1955), Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Baby Doll (1956) and Sayonara (1957).

McCarty passed away in 1999 at the age of 86.
