40 Beautiful Color Photos of Marianne Faithfull in the 1960s

Born in a wealthy and strict environment, Marianne Faithfull who works as a model, meets the Rolling Stones in the 1960s that write her songs such as As Tears Go By and Sister Morphine that establish her as the Swinging London's little darling.

Engaged in a relationship with Mick Jagger, she discovers a drug, sex and rock n' roll existence and appears in her first film, in 1966, in Jean- Luc Godard's Made in USA. After splitting with Mick Jagger, she retires from the public area and delivers an album in 1975 before making a remarkable comeback in 1987 with the album Broken English and appearing in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, in 2006.

With her angelic English looks and her long legs adorned in mini doll dresses, Marianne Faithfull nonetheless diffuses an overtly sexual feel enhanced by her sensual rakish voice, the fact her great uncle, Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, gave his name to masochism and that during a drugs raid, in 1967, she was found wearing nothing but a bearskin rug.
