Vintage Photographs of Boys and Girls Having Fun in Norfolk Coast, England, ca. 1950s

The 1950s were a time of societal change and new beginnings. The decade began with austerity measures, rationing and reconstruction still governing many large Western urban spaces.

Simultaneously in the UK, old class structures were beginning to be broken down as affluence grew and a new consumer culture was born, heralded by the rise of the teenager.

    Exquisite photos. Great stuff.

  2. It's interesting that these photos were "Girls Gone Wild" for the time period but tame compared to the "Girls Gone Wild" today. Love these photos.
