Dublin's Ambassador Cinema in the 70's & 80's

The Ambassador Cinema was Dublin's longest-running cinema and was operational on and off until 1999. It is now a music venue. These photos of the cinema from the seventies and eighties display the artistic skills of Dublin signwriter Kevin Freeney (1919-1986). His first job for the venue was producing the sign for the 1978 Sean Connery film "The First Great Train Robbery, later he was assisted by his nephew who helped with the artwork in the backroom of the cinema.

  1. It is the most happening place especially for traditional English weddings today. With romance in the air, Ireland can prove to be the best place in the world to tie a knot. wedding ireland
