Lovely Photos of Sophia Loren at Home in Italy With Her Son Carlo Ponti Jr. in 1969

Loren first met Ponti in 1950, when she was 16 and he was 37. Though Ponti had been long separated from his first wife, Giuliana, he was not legally divorced when Loren married him by proxy (two male lawyers stood in for them) in Mexico on 17 September 1957.

The couple had their marriage annulled in 1962 to escape bigamy charges, but continued to live together. In 1965, they became French citizens after their application was approved by then French President Georges Pompidou.

Ponti then obtained a divorce from Giuliana in France, allowing him to marry Loren on 9 April 1966. They had two children, Carlo Ponti Jr. (born 29 December 1968) is an Italian orchestral conductor working in the United States, and Edoardo Ponti (born on 6 January 1973).

Beautiful Pics of Tony Curtis at Home With His Wife Janet Leigh and Their Daughters in 1959

On June 4, 1951, Janet Leigh married actor Tony Curtis in a private ceremony in Greenwich, Connecticut. The couple had two children, Kelly (b. 1956) and Jamie Lee (b. 1958), who both subsequently became actresses. Leigh and Curtis's marriage was widely publicized in the media, and a frequent topic in gossip columns and film tabloids.

In 1962, Curtis had divorce papers served to Leigh on the set of The Manchurian Candidate. Leigh would later comment that their divorce was the result of “outside problems”, which included the death of Curtis's father.

Lovely Pics of Barbra Streisand at Home With Her Son Jason in 1967

Barbra Streisand has been married twice. Her first husband was actor Elliott Gould, to whom she was married from 1963 until 1971. They had one child, Jason Gould, who appeared as her on-screen son in The Prince of Tides.

Around 1988, at the age of 21, Gould came out to his parents as gay. Around 1991, tabloids outed Gould as being gay. In an interview with The Advocate published August 17, 1999, Streisand said:
“I would never wish for my son to be anything but what he is. He is bright, kind, sensitive, caring, and a very conscientious and good person. He is a very gifted actor and filmmaker.
What more could a parent ask for in their child? I have been truly blessed. Most parents feel that their child is particularly special, and I am no different. I have a wonderful son. My only wish for my son, Jason, is that he continues to experience a rich life of love, happiness, joy, and fulfillment, both creatively and personally.”

40 Beautiful Photos of the Brother-and-Sister Pop Duo Donny and Marie Osmond in the 1970s

Donny & Marie is an American variety show that aired on ABC from January 1976 to January 1979. The show starred brother-and-sister pop duo Donny and Marie Osmond.

The siblings were offered a weekly show by ABC-TV President Fred Silverman after he saw the duo co-host a week on The Mike Douglas Show which followed their series of popular remakes of oldies, such as “I'm Leaving It All Up to You”, “Morning Side of the Mountain” and “Make the World Go Away”.

Donny and Marie (18 and 16 years old, respectively, when the program premiered) were the youngest entertainers in TV history to host their own variety show.

Lovely Photos of Ingrid Bergman and Her Children

Throughout her three marriages, Ingrid Bergman had a total of four children. In 1937, at the age of 21, Bergman married a dentist, Petter Aron Lindström, who later became a neurosurgeon. The couple had one child, a daughter, Friedel Pia Lindström (born September 20, 1938). After returning to the United States in 1940, she acted on Broadway before continuing to do films in Hollywood.

Bergman returned to Europe after the scandalous publicity surrounding her affair with Italian director Roberto Rossellini during the filming of Stromboli in 1950. In the same month the film was released, she gave birth to a boy, Renato Roberto Ranaldo Giusto Giuseppe (“Robin”) Rossellini (born February 2, 1950). A week after her son was born, she divorced Lindström and married Rossellini in Mexico.

On June 18, 1952, she gave birth to the twin daughters Isotta Ingrid Rossellini and Isabella Rossellini. In 1957, Rossellini had an affair with Sonali Das Gupta and soon after, Bergman and Rossellini separated. Rossellini later married Sonali Das Gupta in 1957.

In 1958, Bergman married Lars Schmidt, a theatrical entrepreneur from a wealthy Swedish shipping family. Curiously, while vacationing with Lars in Monte Gordo beach (Algarve region, Portugal) in 1963, right after recording the TV movie Hedda Gabler, Ingrid got ticketed for wearing a bikini that showed too much according to the modesty standards of conservative Portugal. After almost two decades of marriage, Ingrid and Lars divorced in 1975. He was, however, by her side when she died.

Here, below are 24 lovely vintage photographs capture the actress with her children from the 1950s to 1970s:

Hungarian Photographer Recreated Photo of the Same Mom and Daughter From the Budapest Market Picture When It Went Viral After More Than 30 Years

The picture of a young woman and her daughter went viral recently after more than thirty years since it was taken in a Budapest marketplace in 1987. There were some who compared the mother with Princess Diana in the 1987 photo, others praised the charisma of the young woman, and more praised of her work.

This viral photo was taken on Museum Boulevard in Budapest, 1987. (Photo by Attila Manek)

When Attila Manek realized that his photo achieved success after more than thirty years since it was taken, he was unaware that a digital version of it had been uploaded to Facebook, neither did he know who took it or where. Anyway, many commentators wondered what the people in the photo are like today, so Attila decided to take a very similar photo in 2020.

Attila Manek recreated the photo again in 2020 after it went viral, but now it was taken in the Budafok market. (Photo by Attila Manek)

According to the photographer, whose wife and daughter are on the viral photo, the original photo was taken on Museum Boulevard in Budapest, where they were living at the time. And the new version was taken in the Budafok market with the same protagonists — Marti and her daughter Eniko.
“He wanted to depict the difficulty of the “second shift” with the picture of how mothers are burdened: They take the baby home after work and even have to buy it. For the sake of the joke, the little girl, Eniko, got into a huge bag.” – said Fanni Manek, the girl’s sister.
Eniko is now a 33-year-old chemistry scientist. Her mother, Marti, whom Attila had met at MTI’s photo editorial team, has been involved in translation and article writing since, and currently works for a medical company.

Picnic With the Babbs: 40 Fascinating Photographs Capture Everyday Life in Camden, Maine at the Turn of 20th Century

Theresa Butler Parker (Babb) was born in Camden on January 23, 1868, the daughter of Moses L. and Mary Cleveland Parker. In addition to taking many wonder photographs, she was active in Camden as a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, helped establish the Camden Community Hospital (1926). She was on the Managers Board of the Home for Aged Women. She belonged to the Monday Club, Monday Evening Reading Club, Camden Garden Club and the Camden Outing Club.

Her husband, C. Wilkes Babb, was perhaps better known as he ran the Knox Woolen Company beginning in 1886 until 1956. The Babb family has been a prominent family in Camden for many years.

Perhaps she took up photography because her husband worked most of the time. On occasion, he would decided to take a little trip for a few days, as he owned one of the few automobiles in Camden. His wife knew their travel would be of short notice and always had a suitcase packed and ready to go.

Mrs. Babb died on July 11, 1948 at her home on 69 Elm Street. Her granddaughter, Mrs. Janaan Babb Vaughn, kindly donated her collection of photographs to the Walsh History Center at the Camden Public Library.
