These photographs were shot by fashion photographer Nina Leen for LIFE magazine in 1946, and it seems that back in the day, people liked matching their shoes with other stuffs such as hats, gloves, jackets, umbrellas... The idea of walking into a shop and seeing a skirt or jacket being sold with a matching pair of shoes is kind of bizarre to think about today, but sort of special too.
