Only in England: Photographer Toured the UK Between 1966 and 1969 Seeking Out Odd British Customs

The English are known throughout the world for their eccentricity and behavior that leaves many foreigners scratching their heads.

Before his death at the age of 30, photographer Tony Ray-Jones spent the latter half of the 1960s traveling across England trying to capture a disappearing way of life. The Somerset-born photographer was fascinated by the English and their capacity for off-the-wall behavior.
