Halloween was a lot creepier back then! Here's a picture of a Halloween party in Millvale, Pennsylvania in 1914. The photo is from the Reiber-Sachs Family Papers and Photographs.

In the late 1800s, Gustav Adolph Reiber and his wife Elizabeth immigrated to the United States from Germany, eventually settling in Millvale, Pa. Their daughter Margaret married William Sachs, an engineer who spent his career with the American Bridge Division of the U.S Steel Company.ily documents.
