Riga in the 1950s – Everyday Life in the Capital of Latvia through Dominiks Gedzjuns' Lens

Riga is not only the capital and the largest city of Latvia, but also the largest city of the Baltic states. The city lies on the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the Daugava, above sea level, on a flat and sandy plain. It is a member of Eurocities, the Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC), and Union of Capitals of the European Union (UCEU).

Look back at this beautiful Baltic city in 1954 through 18 wonderful color photos taken by photographer Dominiks Gedzjuns.
