  1. This is pretty much what my high school in NJ looked like and until I came across this collection I never appreciated how incredibly difficult this made life for the male teachers of the day.
It was distracting enough sitting next to these sorts of skirts, much less having to stand in front of them and keep your eyes above the desks!

  2. Awesome piece of information, I had come to know about your blog from my friend vimal, mumbai,i have read atleast 13 posts of yours by now, and let me tell you, your blog gives the best and the most interesting information. This is just the kind of information that i had been looking for, i'm already your rss reader now and i would regularly watch out for the new posts, once again hats off to you! Thanks a million once again, Regards, bob marley quotes

  3. I believe I knew some of those people! The 12th image down, with the kids posing in front of a blackboard (remember those?): Niskayuna High School, Niskayuna New York, class of 1970.

Front row, 3rd from left (with the pixie 'do): Penny Lee. To her left, Sharon Sutphen. To Sharon's left, Sandra Neison in the plaid mini and to Sandra's left, Stephanie Bernard. None of the rest rings a bell, except 2nd row 4th from left, Elizabeth Simmons. The rest are underclassmen, perhaps; or my memory's clean gone after 44 years. The Gene Shalit character back left you'd think I'd remember, but I don't. Of course I usually had my eye on the girls, :-)

The gent in back is the music department's Harold Weaver, the orchestra teacher/conductor. Perhaps this is a group photo of some musical honorees. It certainly isn't the full ensemble.
